- Cedrick Dozier
A 30-game winner again the previous season before being upset in the regionals. Two lightning-quick all-city guards returned: Cedric Dozier, one of the best defensive players in the field, who averaged 14.4 points, and 6-3 Reggie Johnson at 12.2. With 6-2 Victor Taylor, 6-4 Andre Mapp and 5-7 James Gladden also back, depth and quickness were the Panthers' strength.
