1988
The 1984 Arby's champions opened 1-3 and then won seven straight. After a disappointing 1987, their worst record in years, Bobby Snyder's Trailblazers returned one starter, 6-6 senior post Shane Mounger (9.4). The top scorer was 5-10 junior point guard Richie Cutlip at 11.7, with 6-foot senior wing Eddie Saults at 10 and 6-5 senior post Travis Chatman also starting, and 5-10 sophomore Kyle Hayworth or 5-10 junior Sims Umbarger in the fifth spot. Snyder usually played only six or seven, so depth was a concern. 8-3 coming in.
