Bobby Snyder, closing in on 600 wins, brought the Trailblazers in after back-to-back losing seasons, a rarity at Boone. Smaller than usual, with 6-2 Gene Rutledge the biggest starter, Boone traded height for quickness. Senior Richie Cutlip (5-10), perhaps the conference's finest point guard, led at 14.8 points, and sophomore Kielan Livingston (5-10) was the only other double-figure scorer at 12.3; senior Sims Umberger (6-0) added 8. 2-5 coming in.
